We wait for seasons
While the leaves change hues
Waiting is hard
For those that never return

We wait for light
While darkness gazes through
Waiting is harsh
For those who’ve gone astray

We wait for happiness
While sorrows make their way
Waiting is struggle
For those who’re fighting a war

We wait for hope
While wallowing in deep scars
Waiting is a pity
For those who don’t deserve any

We wait for love
While remembering all the hate
Waiting is a torment
For those who run from life
