Oxymoron (Not a Poem)

In the world where real existence is minimized by the virtual and where human interactions have pretty much seized to exist because of the gadgets of gratification. And the prominence of “Zero Trust” is on the lips of every single security organization. For those who don’t live and breathe Info Sec these days, Zero Trust is a security concept centered on the belief that organizations should not (should not) automatically trust anything inside or outside its perimeters and instead must verify anything and everything trying to connect to its systems before granting access”.

Surprisingly where we’ve progressed in the virtual world, human emotions have become either a hypothesis or emerging to be the worst of current quiddity. And, every single day we are downtrodden by blame, cheating, backstabbing, breach of personal trust, politics that it is tiring and counter intuitive to all that we do towards keeping up the integrity of the inanimate tools and technologies.

The emphasis seems more on securing our systems and application and there is none in self preservation. Now, I am not writing this because I am trying to solve for human empathy, but just pointing down to the oxymoron nature of our race. It is not just plain right stupid but ignorance seems to prevail more than common sense. Personally, I’d love to embrace Zero Trust in my own life so I am just as secure, safe and sound as the systems I work with and work on. To hell with anything else.
