Closure

There are promises we wish to keep
Remembrances we strive to make
Yet, an uncertainty always consumes us
As the clock stops and time won’t tick

There are feuds we hope to resolve
Anger and grudges that remain in us
Yet, a larger purpose of life prevails
As relationships die and new ones rise

There are words meant to be exchanged
Some bring calm and some deep pain
Yet, those are imprinted in our minds
As they travel with us and beyond

There are closures we’d like to have
For those that have left us abruptly
Yet, not many have that fortune of end
As all we have are memories and remains
