Wish you stayed

Your memories are fond remembrances
That will always remain in our heart
You may be gone into divine embraces
But you live in us as an integral part

What am I going to tell my mother
The one who’s known you forever
You were her soul not just a brother
Sad that your path is now an endeavor

You stood by us when tragedies struck
When we had lost many of our dear
Against all odds we tested our luck
We are hurt today, but you’re not near

You taught us to always keep it real
Even when our dreams have crashed
You have left us vast emotions to feel
We’re here still, while you have passed

There’ll be void in our conversation
No one can fill even if they tried
Wish you stayed the longest duration
Life’s a vacuum without you by our side
