Why not me!

I ache for your fervent amour
The farther you go, I become poor
Distance does not fit my reverie
With you, forever I want to be

I want to be the one waiting for you
Where the sun is bright and sky blue
We should have a story of love
A well written one from up above

I glazed your existence worthwhile
While I hurt, stood still with a smile
Yet with disdain, when you look at me
There is no one else I’d rather be

I can’t take it anymore
Because my heart is already sore
If you end up taking long
I’d be part of a harrowing song

I cling because I don’t want to be gone
Sparing you remorse when I’m stone
Others seize your affection zealously
But why not me, why not me?
