Remember me

When I move onto a new horizon
And what remains is loam dust
Remember me for my smiles
And not for the sweet little lies
Remember me for keeping your trust
When you’re tired and wizen

When I choose love over lust
And it leaves a distressed swain
Remember me for my loyalty
And not when you needed my pity
Remember me for holding the reigns
When you wanted just to be trussed

When I prefer the road less explored
And many may doubt my virtue
Remember me for the memories
And the walks through the breeze
Remember me for all I made true
When life was a double edged sword
